The Raul Gardini Foundation, the Municipality of Ravenna, the Flaminia Foundation, and the University of Bologna – Campus of Ravenna have signed a seven-year agreement that includes an annual competition for the “THESIS AWARD” in memory of Raul Gardini to be awarded to graduates of Master’s or Single Cycle courses, doctoral students, and research fellows of the University of Bologna who delve into interdisciplinary research and study on the topics of environmental sustainability and circular Bioeconomy.
The award is provided by the Raul Gardini Foundation.
Purpose
To co-finance:
- A minimum six-month research stay abroad for a graduate holding a Master’s or Single Cycle Degree, who is formally engaged as a PhD candidate or research fellow at the University of Bologna, working on a project related to the abovementioned themes and with a direct focus or impact on the Ravenna area.
or
- fund a start-up or spin-off to be launched in the Ravenna area (preferably at the Marina di Ravenna Research Center) on the aforementioned topics, by a graduate with a Master’s or Single Cycle degree.
Recipients
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- for the proposal of an internship abroad: doctoral or research fellow activities at the University of Bologna on the aforementioned topics, with a direct focus on the territory of Ravenna.
- for the proposal of a Start-up or Spin-off: possession of a Master’s Degree or Single Cycle Degree and be no older than 32 years of age at the application deadline. The proposed project on the aforementioned topics must be carried out in the territory of Ravenna (preferably, but not necessarily, at the Marina di Ravenna Research Center).
